OPTM Health Care (P) Ltd & AG herbs (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., two complimentary companies, under one roof, was founded by Dr. Apurba Ganguly, who invented the ‘AG Electro Pulse Therapy’ for Pain Management, and started treating patients from his own clinic named ‘Krish Pain Treatment & Research Centre’ (in Kolkata, West Bengal, India), This was in 1991, Dr. Ganguly in addition to treating patients at his own clinic, travelled widely in all major cities of India and also a few different places abroad to treat patients.

The therapy soon became popular and in February 1994, in a press conference in the presence of press personnel, eminent Doctors/ Principals of Medical Colleges, Senior Orthopeadic Surgeons, Dr, Ganguly briefed the Principle of this Therapy and administered free treatment to establish the effectiveness of the treatment. He continued this process for two years.

In 1996, Dr. Ganguly was conferred with the Ph.D degree by the university of Alternative Medicine, (Accredited with WAUC, USA) for his innovative work titled ‘AG Electro Pulse Therapy’ where the term ‘Electro’ refers to Bio-energy of plants that is used in the method of treatment.

The following year in 1997, the same USA based university conferred the Degree of Doctor of Science (D.Sc) in Alternative Medicine on Dr. Ganguly for his study entitled ‘AG Raw Juice and Soaked Water Therapy’.

All these prompted Dr. Ganguly, to spread his knowledge and inventions for the welfare of society. In 2001, Dr. Ganguly gave a professional structure to his establishment and renamed his company as OPTM Health Care Pvt Ltd. He increased his number of treatment centers at Kolkata and along with the treatment he still continues his research to develop new, innovative herbal composition based medicines, which is used in his treatment. He also forayed into the cultivation of medicinal herbs, fruits and vegetables near his production unit with a view to to have his own resource of organic raw materials.

In 2008, he formed a sister organization AG herbs Singapore Pte Ltd, which has its registered office at Singapore. its registered office at Singapore.

OPTM focuses on administration of treatments, while AG Herbs is involved with the Research, Development and Manufacturing of the Herbal Medicines. Together, they provide solutions for Pain and Psychosomatic Management. The treatment so far has done wonders in treating Critical Patients suffering from Arthritis, Spondylosis, Slip disc, Fibrosis, Frozen shoulder, Osteoarthritis, Degenerative changes in spinal regions, Psychosomatic disorder and many more.

Currently both the sister concerns OPTM Healthcare and AG Herbs Singapore have operations in India (Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata), Singapore and United States (New York). The companies aim to expand into the Gulf region commencing with Dubai, United Arab Emirates in 2013.
