Why Panchkula Chose OPTM — And What We Are Building Here
When OPTM Healthcare chose Panchkula as the location for its third clinic, the decision was driven by clinical need. The Tricity region — Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula — is one of the most health-conscious urban clusters in northern India, but it was also a region where patients with serious musculoskeletal conditions had limited non-surgical options. The nearest AIIMS is in New Delhi; PGI Chandigarh, while excellent, has long waiting lists. Private orthopaedic care in the region was largely surgical in its orientation.
Our Sector 11 clinic was established to fill this gap. Since opening, it has treated patients from across the Tricity and from as far as Amritsar, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, and Shimla.
What makes the Panchkula clinic distinctive, beyond OPTM's core protocol, is the specific patient population it serves. The Tricity has an unusually active fitness culture — cycling clubs, half-marathon communities, gym networks, and a large military and paramilitary presence. This creates a specific injury profile: overuse conditions, exercise-induced joint stress, sports injuries, and the particular damage pattern of patients who remain highly active despite chronic pain.
Our rehabilitation team has developed sport-specific protocol modifications for this population, adapting movement correction work to the biomechanical demands of running, cycling, lifting, and combat sports. The result is a clinic that not only relieves pain but actively supports patients in returning to the activities that define their lifestyle — not just tolerating pain well enough to function.
The Panchkula clinic also serves as a regional centre for government employee occupational health — addressing the cervical spondylosis and lumbar pain epidemic driven by Haryana's large administrative workforce. See our detailed article on this topic for the specific protocol we have developed for desk-job-related spinal pain.
If you are in the Tricity region and have been managing musculoskeletal pain with conventional methods that aren't working, we invite you to visit us at Sector 11. The initial ₹990 diagnostic assessment will tell you precisely what is driving your pain and whether the OPTM protocol can help.
